Tibetans grow maize, millet, wheat, rice, oil etc Agriculture losing its importance CTA started Organic farming in the settlements Cooperatives a backbone of Tibetan rurals Economy Cooperatives in the settlements play a vital role in settlers life as they procure and advance seeds, fertilizers & pesticides, Market agricultural produce collectively and provide common services such as tractors, trucks and warehousing. Tibetan agriculture depends completely on monsoon.

Tibetans in the United States A group of young Tibetan guerilla were brought to Colorado by American Secret Service for training in the 1950s American congress accepted to grant residential permit to 1000 Tibetans in 1990s Because of the family reunion, the number rose up to 7000 now.
