Glove box parameters considered: 2.5m long 1.3m wide, 1.5m tall Row with three pair of gloves on each side May need an upper row of gloves too Humidity control system inside the box ~250 l/h flushing gas system Full size door on one side Pumpable antechamber on the other side Electrical and gas communications in/out Detector positioning system inside the box Shelves, boxes etc Quotes: There are preliminary quotes form several companies (Mbraun, Innovative Technology, CoyLab etc…) ranging about $40k Rich Hutter is investigating “do-it-yourself” quote. Craig mentioned that JLab GB was cheaper. To be looked up. Timing: Best case scenario: We get OK for MRI money in April, SUNYSB can possibly borrow against that money in May, plus the delivery takes 6-8 weeks July… quite late

Has $20k money reserved in MRI for upgrade. Evaporator-to-box transfer system. Gas system: Needs quite simple gas system (cylinder reducer exhaust) for N2/Ar and CF4. Something we can put together in the tent at SUNYSB. Other: Do we need a U-sonic washer for GEMs? Now or later? Tools, soldering station, consumables etc. Need to make a list and order ahead of time, but quite clear most items are at hand.

The final system with monochromator would certainly do the job. The same problem with money as with the GB ($80k). Might need to find something cheaper and less fancy. Performance test: Iron source signal monitoring. Cosmic ray (below threshold) test No photocathode QE test is foreseen. Shall we do it? Any Beam tests?
