Elementary Report Card Demonstration Review features and flexibility of the newly announced Elementary Report Card
2
Elem Rep Card Environment Potential significant SHIFT in work and responsibility that used to maybe be at the teacher level back to the office! In this CIMS model: School Office has to define courses/subjects, add a master schedule, and assign students to subjects (similar to high school environment). School Office has to define the report card, what subjects will appear in each report card, and in what order. This does mean more control … but be aware that this could be added responsibility to your clerical that they were not expecting. No setup at teacher level, no template. Just go to your report card and begin! 100% integration with CIMS. No uploading/downloading, immediately available to ParentConnect/AdminConnect.

Elem Rep Card Setup (District) Define Learning Outcomes (GRE.105) per course or upload. Learning outcomes can have grade values assigned independent of subject mark. These could be down to learning outcome principals or some schools will have Subject ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS GRADE 2 and then learning outcomes of Reading, Writing, Oral. Also useful in Social Responsibility to identify all of the subgroups (Completes assigments ontime, participates in class …) Define Additional Factors (GRE.106) that can be added per Subject to a student and can affect whether regular subject topic appears or not Working at lower than grade level learning outcomes Adaptations Provided (refer to attached documentation) Student is on an Individualized Plan Define Grading Tables (GRD.270H) per type (INT, KDN, WH) and assign that table to outcomes to ensure only appropriate values are being used. EG: PRIM might be Approaching, Meeting, Exceeding … where as for INT could be A+, B, C+ values
4
Elem Rep Card Setup (Schools) Define per reporting period what courses will appear for each grade level and in what order (GRE.204) Define per course and report carding period what outcomes will be presented (GRE.205) and what grades per outcome are allowed. Define Report Card GRE.211 to set general flags about whether outstanding fees should show, what absences should show, when to make report card available to PC, TC.

Elem Rep Card Goals and Plans: Streamline an approval/verify process with AdminConnect. Currently AC can print and view but there is no way to collaborate, edit, and then finalize report card between Admin and Teacher. Provide a student when in one student’s report card to advance to the next student If we allow for the &he/&she and other symbol replacements would there still be a need for a global school or teacher database? In this situation teacher would have their own word document or collection and simply copy/paste as necessary. Upon all symbols would be resolved! Allow for non-homeroom teachers (Music, Physed, specialty) to input their subject marks and attachments.
