1. Contacting Emergency Service Require mobiles to convey emergency indicator in SIP messages Require mobile to uses SLP to learn E-SIP server IP address Require mobile behavior: –When user invokes emergency button or local e-number, mobile sends INVITE to E-SIP server

2. Issue: In another country Phone learns E-SIP server via SLP as before User enters country B’s emergency number Phone (from country A) does not know emergency number in country B and sends INVITE to the wrong SIP server Solution: Have SLP send the E-SIP server IP address and the local emergency number to the mobile

3. Result The phone will contact the correct E-SIP whether –user pushes an emergency button –user enters country B emergency number Also: –mobile could recognize country A emergency number too and also contact the local E-SIP server
