6 PowerView Software Product Feature Overview

7 Operation: Setup and Communications to devices
Device Connections Automatic Detection (Auto discovery of networked devices) After assigning a valid IP address, the system will poll the connected network for supported devices Manual connections End users have option to manually add/delete devices Automatically names devices User can change the name Communications Types (Modbus) TCP/IP RS-485 Serial Troubleshooting devices with communications errors marked/highlighted in red on the device list. Right click on device and restore communications.

8 Auto Discovery of networked devices

9 Data Logging Onboard Data Logging: PC-based Data Logging:
Power Meter 820/850 perform onboard data logging PowerView Software automatically data retrieves onboard files every 4 hours from Power Meter 800s The onboard data log interval is set in PMCU (setup utility) PC-based Data Logging: PC-based data logging is collected by PowerView for the high density meters and Series 700 Power Meters Default logging interval is 15 minutes and can be changed by the end user The measurements that are PC based data logged are a fixed set of parameters that cannot be changed Quantities (measurements) Logged: The measurements logged will be current, voltage, power, power factor, energy, demand power, demand current, and total harmonic distortion (THD).

10 Database Management Database Backups: Database Restores:
The option to backup the database will be available. Database Restores: The option to restore the database will be available. Historical Database Management: The Historical database will be maintained below 2GB in size. Data will be deleted from the Historical database as first in – first out (FIFO) to prevent growth over 2GB. Deleted Historical data is not retained. An indication will be provided when the database goes into FIFO mode Upgrade options The PowerView Software databases will be compatible with SMSPE (requires SqD Engineering Services to migrate customer from PowerView to SMSPE)

11 Real Time Display – Summary View

12 Real Time Display – Device View

13 Report Builder Basic Queries: Pre-configured Queries: Reports Viewer:
Device(s) + Measurement(s)+ time range= Output (trends, charts, tables) Both PC and Onboard (PM8’s) data available in database. Pre-configured Queries: Focused on providing end user with historical information on their Electrical Energy usage and power demand. Energy usage for last day, week, month Energy TOU (Time of Use) or Energy Bands outputs Support for Time of Use Metering includes. Defining up to 3 schedules Each Schedule can contain -> up to 10 periods (bands) for energy accumulation -> Supports weekends, special days, holidays Reports Viewer: End user will be expected to have Microsoft Excel to view reports. All costing and other calculations (eg. Terrifications, rates) can be done manually by the customer in Excel.
