4 Heartburn Acid reflux is when stomach acid splashes up from the stomach into the esophagus Treatment lifestyle changes (diet, less stress) Over the counter or prescription meds

6 Open sores on the lining of the stomach Due to the breakdown of mucus lining in that area –As a result, stomach lining exposed to enzymes and HCl Can be treated with medication

9 Constipation Feces moves too slow through the digestive tract  therefore, too much water is absorbed Results in difficulty egesting feces Treatment: –Drink more water –Eat more roughage –Laxatives

11 Diarrhea Too little water is absorbed in large intestine Frequently caused by infections or stress Can lead to dehydration Treatment: –If dehydration occurs  drink water –Medication song

13 is an inflammation of the appendix, a 3 1/2-inch-long tube of tissue that extends from the large intestine medical emergency –surgery to remove –If untreated It can burst (perforate) spilling infectious materials into the abdominal cavity Can be FATAL
