Do You Know God? Psalm 139:1-4 Jeremiah 9:23-24

We must first have a desire to know God (Ex. 33:13; Ac. 17:27)
Knowing God has eternal implications (Jn. 17:3; II Th. 1:7-9) Just becoming a Christian does not = knowing God (Gal. 4:8-11; Ti. 1:16) There are some things we cannot know about God (Deut. 29:29; I Cor. 2:9-11) We must first have a desire to know God (Ex. 33:13; Ac. 17:27)

“Know” in Greek: “ginosko”
Vine’s: “suggests approval and bears the meaning ‘to be approved’“ Examples: II Tim. 2:19 – “the Lord knoweth them that are his” “the Lord approves of them that are his” Mt. 7:23 – “I never knew you” “I don’t endorse you” We must approve & endorse God as well (I Jn. 5:20)

Getting acquainted with His family His Son, Jesus Christ (Jn. 1:1,14; 10:30; 14:6-11)
