16 April 2-3, 2003 TELEBALT Workshop - Riga, Latvia16 Trade Fair INFOBALT 2002  The Trade Fair INFOBALT 2002 started on October 23 in exhibition centre LITEXPO in Vilnius  It was the biggest IST exhibition in Baltic States last year  EU Programmes Stand was held in Trade Fair INFOBALT 2002  The Stand has provided information about EU framework programme for RTD that is a major tool to support the creation of the European Research Area (ERA)  The European Commission stand presented some documents on Key Action II projects, eWork 2002 and other general information on EU activities

26 April 2-3, 2003 TELEBALT Workshop - Riga, Latvia26 CONCLUSIONS of TELEBALT conference  TELEBALT conference has opened several wider opportunities to Lithuania to pursue and achieve these intrinsic ambitious desires : –Both business and public institutions and research are interested in telework (eWork) in Lithuania –Information Society Development Committee of Lithuanian Parliament approved research on telework and has recommended to develop new legal acts or update existing concerning telework implementation

27 April 2-3, 2003 TELEBALT Workshop - Riga, Latvia27 CONCLUSIONS of TELEBALT conference (cnt’d 1)  A seminar with more detailed agenda concerning different target groups and different aspects (psychological, economical, social, work/life balance, family/work balance) is appreciated  Such a seminar should be organized during INFOBALT 2003 conference  Teleworkers job center should be established on one of Lithuanian web-based job centers (preliminary agreement of company “Mediaworks” is under discussion)

29 April 2-3, 2003 TELEBALT Workshop - Riga, Latvia29 CONCLUSIONS of TELEBALT conference (cnt’d 3)  In project Information Dissemination Centre (IDC) collect a library on telework, organize periodic live consulting (face-to-face)  Establish national working group on eWork (telework) consisting of Parliament, public institutions, business and research representatives. Such proposal has been approved by Information Society Development Committee of Lithuanian Parliament
