3 Basketball I know some of the basic rules of Basketball. I can catch with some accuracy I can pass the ball with some accuracy. I have some idea of the different positions and can play one of them. I can identify some of the strengths and weaknesses in my performance. I can follow a warm-up and cool-down safely using suitable activities. I know that exercise is important for a healthy lifestyle. 3c = 2 of the criteria met– from 2 colours! 3b = 4 of the criteria met- from 3 colours! 3a = All of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 4! 4 Basketball I know the basic rules of Basketball. I can catch the ball on a few occasions when not under pressure. I can pass the ball with some accuracy in a non-competitive situation. I have a good understanding of the different positions and their roles. I can use some of the correct technique terms to improve performance. I can plan and lead simple practices and activities for myself and others. I understand the importance of exercise for a healthy lifestyle. 4c = 2 of the criteria met – from 2 colours! 4b = 4 of the criteria met – from 3 colours! 4a = All of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 5! 5 Basketball I know the rules of Basketball when playing a game. I can catch the ball and I can sometimes catch it while under a little pressure. I can pass the ball with accuracy using more than one type of pass in a game situation. I have a good understanding of the different positions and their roles. I can identify strengths and weaknesses of mine and others performances, giving feedback to improve on this. I can plan, organise and lead practices and activities safely, whilst helping others to improve their performance. I can explain why exercise is important to my health and fitness. 5c = 2 of the criteria met- from 2 colours! 5b = 4 of the criteria met- from 3 colours! 5a = All of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 6! 6 Basketball I know the rules of Basketball and can apply them to umpire a small sided game. I can catch the ball while under pressure. I can pass the ball accurately using a variety of passes. I have some success with my weaker hand when dribbling. I know the role of and can play in more than one position. I can give more detailed feedback to improve my own and others performances. When leading practices I can apply the rules and tactics relevant to basketball consistently I understand how basketball can benefit a persons health and wellbeing. 6c = 2 of the criteria met- from 2 colours! 6b = 4 of the criteria met- from 3 colours! 6a = All of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 7! 7 Basketball I know the rules of Basketball and rarely make mistakes and can apply these when umpiring a full sided game. I can catch the ball while under pressure. I can pass the ball accurately while under pressure both in a practice and game situations. I have more success with my weaker hand when dribbling. I have a good understanding of positions and can play them effectively. I know which of the major muscles to stretch for Basketball and understand the principles of training I can take on different roles in Basketball including: Performer, Leader & Official I can describe how Basketball benefits physical, mental and social wellbeing and can share this information with a small group. 7c = 2 of the criteria met- from 2 colours! 7b = 4 of the criteria met- from 3 colours! 7a = All of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 8!
