Changes in Employers’ Attitudes Corporate sponsored child care is the fastest growing type of child care May provide assistance as an optional benefit –Reasons Increased recruitment Higher morale Increased productivity May provide on-site child care or sick child care

Changes in Education Attitudes 2 out of 3 children participate in early childhood programs (30 hours a week) Parents understand their child’s developmental needs Studies show children who attend full-day kindergarten do better academically and socially Schools are starting to add 4K programs

Career Opportunities Research a career related to early childhood that does not include teaching! How does that professional interact with children? How would an understanding of child development help you within the career? What are the pros and cons of the career? Compile your information into a 3 minute presentation for Thursday
