GREATEST COMMON FACTOR
Every number has at least two factors: 1 and the number itself. Numbers such as 18 and 24 have several factors in common. We are looking for the greatest common factor of 18 and 24. You need to list all the factors of each number, from the least to the greatest.

FACTORS Factors that are shared by two or more numbers are called common factors. The greatest of the common factors of two or more numbers is the greatest common factor (GCF) of the numbers. To find common factors, you can make a list.
