The Industry and Technology 58% of people in the industry are professionals/associate professionals – most from science and engineering disciplines R&D required in – adaptation of overseas testing technology development and improvement of testing methods automation of testing process 5

Hong Kong Council for Testing and Certification submitted a Report containing recommendations to further develop the industry to the Chief Executive on 31 March 2010. Government has accepted all the recommendations Vision – Hong Kong to develop into a testing and certification hub in the region by reinforcing the branding of “Tested in Hong Kong, Certified in Hong Kong.” 6 Three-Year Development Plan

9 Recognized by about 75 accreditation bodies in 60 economies Hong Kong to continue to participate actively in the international accreditation community Pursue wider recognition by Mainland authorities through CEPA Recognition of Assessment Results
