© Imperial College LondonPage 3 Health Clearance Required for: –Work >24 hours travel-distance from medical help –Activity requiring high standard of fitness e.g. Climbing Work at high altitude >3000m Work underground Diving –Trip duration >3 months

© Imperial College LondonPage 4 Health Clearance- purpose Facilitation, not exclusion Identifying & advising on risk containment –Assess consequence –Assess likelihood –Advice on personal & group precautions Clearance only to be withheld if: –Significant risk of harm to self –Incapacity may endanger others
