Selection Vocabulary Dispute – to argue against –Sentence example: The neighbors were having a dispute over who owned the beautiful tree on their property. Nonchalantly – to not have a care in the world –Sentence example: In Surviving the Applewhites, Jake nonchalantly acts like nothing bothers him about his new situation. Sorrowfully – with a lot of sadness –Sentence example: When my dog died, I was filled with sorrow. Loftily – to believe you are better than others –Sentence example: After winning the award, John acted very loftily towards his friends. Adjusted – to change –Sentence example: When I started in a new school, I adjusted my routine to fit my new schedule.
