Which Future? Reaching out Target audience Professional engineers Integration and involvement Comprehensiveness Support to education
9
Reaching Out To expand publicity and interactions worldwide for the Systems Journal –at our conferences –at major conferences of the Member Societies –with non-IEEE entities Publicity media –flyers to be distributed at major conferences –poster to be displayed at major conferences –announcements distributed through newsletters and emailing lists of Member Societies
10
Target Readers To focus publicity and publication –on scientists –on professional engineers –on governmental bodies –on students To attract the various audiences with material valuable to them
11
Professional Engineers To care specifically to the needs of professional engineers through real cases and methodological perspective
12
Integration and Involvement To attract interest from various technical groups focusing on specific topics To make everybody feeling at home To attract contributions from outstanding individuals and groups
13
Comprehensiveness To promote visibility of the System Journal
14
Support to education To create a knowledge base supporting advancement of theory and practice in our field
15
Anything More? Going beyond the traditional publication perspective (conference proceedings and archival journals)
16
Further Communications Goals: To expand the visibility and the knowledge dissemination of the IEEE Systems Council worldwide To provide a more effective framework for communications More visibility: More future
17
