Working With Text Web Design Section 5-9 Part or all of this lesson was adapted from the University of Washington’s “Web Design & Development I” Course materials

Objectives The Student will: add text to a graphic change the font, size, and color of text objects

Review – Adding a Layer Click on the new layer button on the bottom of the layers palette. Once you have a new layer you can add text.

Adding Text You can add text by clicking on the Text button Once you have added text, you can change the font, style, color, etc:

Warping Text Clicking on the Warp Text Button allows you to select a “shape” for the text.

Additional Options Clicking the fx on the bottom of the layers palette will allow you to set a number of other options

Rest of Today Add text to the button you created. Play with the various options until you get a style of text you like for your button. You will need 2 buttons: Content Top Look at the text tutorials in Photoshop_Resources.doc file. Try and recreate one of the text options.
