2                Shapes of the Nile The Nile River is thought to look the the famous King Cobra snake. The Nile River is thought to look like the lotus flower, one of the species of flower that grows in Egypt. .

3 The Nile’s Contributions To Society
The Nile River flooded every fall. The flooding produces rich soil and fertile crops.  The Nile also provided materials for clothing and papyrus for paper.

4 Boundaries Of Ancient Egypt
The ancient Egyptians had many natural boundaries. There were deserts to the east and west, and there were mountains to the south. Of course, the Nile was the boundary to the north.

5 How Long Is The Nile River?
The Nile River is approximately 4,132 miles long!

6 The Nile River And Its Mythology
The Nile River was and still is nicknamed the “Giver and Taker of Life” The ancient Egyptians thought of the Nile as a god, and they thought of the hippos as the devil.

7 Nile Fun Facts The Nile goes throughout nine countries, including Kenya! The Nile River is actually the longest river in the world! The Nile is the only river internationally that flows north! The Nile stretches from about 200 miles from South Africa all the way to the Mediterranean Sea!
