What are the Qualities you should look for? Licensing and accreditation Qualifications of director and staff Adult-child ratio Adequate space and equipment Safety and security

Licensing and Accreditation Licensing ensures that minimum standards for health, safe, and staff are being met. Accreditation is available to facilities that meet certain standards of HIGH or GOOD quality.

Options Home based child care ◦Child care that happens inside the caregivers home. Center based child care ◦Child care that happens in child care center, or another location other than the home. Employer sponsored child care ◦Also Called Corporate child care. Faith based child care ◦Child care that is provided by a particular organization that believes in a particular faith. That faith is emphasized in the curriculum in faith based child care. In-Home Care ◦Child care that takes place in the home of the child.
