NEED A BOOK A PARTNER AND YOUR PACKET TOO! Today you are going to be using the packet which was given to you on Tuesday. Your focus is to learn more about the body’s systems and the SIGN of LIFE that is affected by that system. Today, you will use this PowerPoint with a partner, a book and your packet to guide your learning.

PAGE 47 & 48 Please read these sections prior to doing anything on the worksheet: Anatomical terms & directions and locations In your packet, there is a sheet labeled, LABEL THE GRAPHIC. There re lines along side of the body. USING A PENCIL, write in the terms on these lines after you have read the section in the book. Be certain to label the left and right sides as well.

PAGE 49 Please look at and read the top 4 pictures. Get acquainted with these pictures as these body positions are commonly referred to in our classes. In your packet, there is a LABEL THE GRAPHIC that is identical to figure 4-4 on page 49. In your packet, label the graphic accordingly, and use the colored pencils (in the back of the classroom in a plastic shoebox) to shade in the different sections. Get creative. Return all materials appropriately.

PACKET PAGES 108 & 109 Inside your packet, complete these 2 pages. 1 is an identifier by your eye test The 2 nd is terminology. Sure, you can use your book to help

BOOK PAGES 54 TO 55 Respiratory system is one of the most complex. It would benefit a new student to read this section to prepare you and acquaint you with the respiratory system. Notice any new terms and write down notes if you have a question when I return.

BPPK PAGE 55 Table 4-2 lists pediatric considerations in the respiratory system. Scan this chart and be able to compare and contrast ton a test.

PACKET PAGES 27 AND 112 Yes, the page numbers are correct. They come from different books. Complete these pages to best of your ability. Can you use your book to help you? Of course you may.

FINALLY Page 53 Read the story, WHAT IF, in the gray box (about an extra set of ribs) So, are you ready to discuss vital signs when I come back? We will review the packet for correct info, measure vital signs and prepare for test on body systems after a brief video. Tomorrow, you will have 2 worksheets, one will prepare you for cardiac emergencies which we start next week.
