General Conclusions Almost 20% of the Central Florida population is of Hispanic origin The Hispanic population has increased by 11.8 percentage points since 1990 The purchasing power of the Hispanic population has reached $6.9 billion Expected to increase to $8.2 billion by 2007

State / Regional Trends in Hispanic Population Growth Statewide the Hispanic community has increased 70.4%, 1990 to 2000 Regionally the Hispanic community has grown by 175%, 1990 to 2000 47 of the 67 Florida counties experienced growth above 100% Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole were included

Local Trends in Hispanic Population Growth Between 1990 and 2000 the Hispanic populations in: Lake County increased by 184% Orange County increased by 166% Osceola County increased by 296% Seminole County increased by 117%
