Mapping of PEOs to Mission Statement

The program should have documented, measurable program educational objectives that are based on the needs of the program’s constituencies List the program’s educational objectives. Explain how and where they are documented outside of the Self-Study. Describe how your program's educational objectives align with your institution's mission. Explain how the program's educational objectives align with the needs of its constituencies, and include a list of the stakeholders. Also describe the role the constituencies played in formulating the educational objectives. For each program educational objective, indicate the mechanism(s) used to measure it.

Consistency of the Program Educational Objectives with the Mission of the Institution Describe how your program's educational objectives align with your institution's mission.

1)Acquire the leadership skills necessary to pursue successful careers in IT, qualify for graduate level education, and engage in life-long learning. 2)Possess the fundamental scientific knowledge and skills in the field of computer science. 3) Apply the knowledge of mathematics and science to identify, formulate, and solve computer science and software engineering problems. 4) Acquire the communication skills necessary to interact effectively in multidisciplinary teams. 5) Understand the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities in the field of IT and the necessity of contributing positively to society. 1. Upon entering the workforce, MET graduates will perform effectively, within their chosen work environments, as evidenced through surveys, looking 1-5 years from graduation. 2. MET alumni will evolve their related skills, as evidenced through surveys. 3. MET alumni will support the greater community by participating in appropriate activities such as community support opportunities (e.g. political committee appointments) and discipline organizations (e.g. ASME), as evidenced through surveys. The program should have documented measurable outcomes that are based on the needs of the program’s constituencies. List the program’s outcomes. Discuss how and where they are documented outside of this Self-Study. For each program outcome, indicate the mechanism(s) used to measure it. Mechanism 1: Use of Performance Indicators for Each Outcome Mechanism 2: Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) Mapped to SOs Indicate how the Student Outcomes map to your program educational objectives.
