1. Sin Is like a Kidney Stone “For the wages of sin is death;” Rom.6:23 “...but the way of transgressors is hard.” Prov. 13:15 Some ways in which a kidney stone is like sin....

2. “Pain is not in proportion to size.” How many sins will it take to keep us out of Heaven ? “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.” James 2:10

3. Eternal ~ Hell, Separation from God Others Family Friends We cannot pick and choose which commands we are going to obey !!!!

4. Pain of sin may subside May become calloused or hardened Eph. 4:17-19 Sin cannot be overlooked, dismissed or taken lightly !

5. Sin if left continues to do more damage James 1:13-16 Sin does not leave us like it found us ! If sin is not removed it will destroy !

6. Sometimes surgery is necessary !! We cannot remove our own sins – Only God can do that ! Mat. 18:7-9 It can be very painful

7. Relief and joy of sin being removed “And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.” Acts 8:39 To be Cheerful Calmly happy or well-off

8. New lifestyle – change of habits We must change our lives to avoid future sins Col. 3:1-3 - set our mind on things above.

9. 2 Pet. 1:5-11 ~ Christian Graces Faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness, love These will help us to be faithful v. 10 b “for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:” [stumble – NKJV ] Fall = to trip, to err, sin, fail

10. None are immune All are vulnerable to sin 1 Pet. 5:8 Rom. 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

11. We will need help from a Doctor ! Jesus is the Great Physician “They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.” Matt. 9:11-12

13. Allow Jesus to be Your Doctor ! He is ready and willing to forgive !!! Remedy for Sin Blood of Christ We take the prescription by obeying the Gospel Drink Plenty of Water !!

14. What Must I do to be Saved ? Obey the Gospel – 1 Cor. 15 Death Burial Resurrection

15. Hear Believe Repent Confess Be Baptized SALVATIONSALVATION

16. Rom. 6:3-4 “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
