6 Pearson Student Login www.pearsonsuccessnet.com The student username and password naming convention is: USERNAME: sac.active directory username ; the student’s Active Directory Username is the username he/she uses to log on to the Sachem network (computers at school). The username is case sensitive and they are ALL LOWERCASE! For example, Jessica Schmettan Pearson username: sac.jschmettan PASSWORD: first initial of first name + first initial of last name + student id number. The student ID number is the full 9 digit student id number, including leading zeros For example: Jessica Schmettan password: js001234567

11 Rubric A tool that lists the criteria for a piece of work Specifies the level of performance expected for several levels of quality Student and parent friendly

12 Leadership Notebook A collection of student work that exhibits the student's efforts, progress, and achievements in one or more areas of the curriculum. The collection will include the following:  Student selected goals  Student selected contents  Student tracking of goals  Evidence of a student's self-reflection

13 School Supplies Please send in all school supplies if you have not yet done so, as the students need them for our daily activities Please check with your child periodically to replenish any needed supplies

14 Homework Expectations Agendas  Homework/Announcements written daily  Signed - only if missing homework becomes an issue Spelling  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 5 words a night, 4 times each & a sentence  Partner tests Friday Reading  Read 20 minutes each night, title of book in Agenda Math  Monday – Thursday  Must be neat and free of careless errors  Will be collected randomly for a grade  Corrected together each morning as a class Tests  All corrections made and brought back to school the following day  Any test below an 80% requires a parent/guardian signature Prepared for the day’s lessons with 3 sharpened pencils and erasers

15 Homework Policy What happens if a student is unprepared or homework is unacceptable? 1 st time in trimester– warning Homework Alert Homework Alert is sent home and homework is due the following day with Alert signed 2 nd time in trimester– lose recess Homework Alert is sent home and homework is due the following day with Alert signed 3 rd time in trimester– phone call to discuss plan of action Homework Alert is sent home and homework is due the following day with Alert signed

16 Snack Please send your child each day with a healthy snack I will be sending home monthly Scholastic Book orders. Please look through the great selection of literature. 18 Absences If your child is out sick please make arrangements to have their work sent home - you can either:  Call the Main Office and arrange to send home with a sibling or friend  Call the Main Office to pick up work ahead of time – please let them know what time you will pick it up so I have an opportunity to prepare it Please send an absence note in when your child returns Dismissal – If your child is changing their normal dismissal routine, you must send a note
