2 The transition and implementation of ICD-9/ICD-10  ICD-10 is change in standard coding system in health care  In order to ensure proper transition the health facility must having coding system for translation  The system translates codes in ICD-9 into the ICD-10  The system should be able to support both the ICD-9 and ICD-10 during the process of transition  ICD-10 is being seen as the most ideal method for clarification of diseases due to its huge amounts of benefits

3 The impact ICD-9/ICD-10 will have on the Revenue Cycle ICD-10 is not only important for coding but it is highly embedded on the revenue cycle by providers Understanding the role of ICD-10 will allow the stakeholders much time in making the project plan better The conversion into ICD-10 will have an impact into important areas of the revenue cycle The important areas that will be positively affected are; data analysis, operations, reporting and information technology ICD-10 will play a very important role in terms of denials management and contract management
