3. Pyramid-Cone volume Recall that a cone is a 3 -D figure with a circular base and meets at a point called a vertex. Also recall that a pyramid has a polygonal base and meets at a point called a vertex.

4. Do you see a pattern? The formula for the volume of both these figures is the same: where A is the area of the base and H is the height of the figure. V= A base  H
