2 Federal Aviation Administration Why the Changes? The TCA Web Page (TCAP) is being modified in response to new airline industry crew rest rules governed by FAR Part 117, which took effect January 4, 2014. Spring 2014

3 Federal Aviation Administration Objectives Assist airline industry in mitigating delays, diversions, and or cancellations resulting from the FAR Part 117 rules. Allow the ATCSCC the ability to efficiently track FAR Part 117 requests received via the TCAP. Spring 2014

4 Federal Aviation Administration Changes being made Category level buttons will be in alignment. In the “Special Request” section of the Add New TCA Issue Page a new line/button will added titled “Delay Mitigation” specifically for FAR Part 117 and 3 hour tarmac delay requests.
