Using DDE, you can enter a formula into an Excel spreadsheet cell that refers to a field of data in Peachtree. Whenever you use that spreadsheet in the future, the cell would be updated with the current data from Peachtree.

(See textbook pages 651-652.) You restore Bellwether data from Exercise 6-2 to complete Chapter 18. If you do not have Exercise 6-2 data, install Bellwether’s starting data. This is shown in Appendix A on pages 701-702. Whenever you use DDE, you must start Peachtree first, then Excel.
