Visual Culture= refers to and includes all aspects of our daily lives and culture that are in some way visual Autobiography=usually a written story or documentation of someone’s life from their own point of view

Visual Culture Autobiography Collage EXPLANATION For this assignment you will both tell us about yourself and demonstrate your developing skills with image manipulation in Photoshop, integrating varied imagery into a single picture. REQUIREMENTS Step 1: Who Am I? Make a identity map on one side of a sheet of paper and on the other side list words that best describe you ! Step 2: Gather Imagery Collect images of these things (at least 10) and correctly save in your drive. You must include 2 types of imagery: 1.) Found Online 2.) Photographed 3). Created by you ( illustration/design) Step 3: Create Design Combine the various images into a single picture using a variety of tools & layers in Photoshop, correctly save (.psd for you,.jpg for teacher) and submit. save as: yourname-VCBio.jpg Step 4: Written Paper Type a paper in paragraph format using Adobe InDesign that explains each of the images you included and how they have shaped and influenced you as a person. After your paper, include a list of images with thumbnails of each one—to show what they looked like before you inte-grated them into your design. Step 5: Critique Session Present your work to class with a thorough description, respond to any questions you receive. Participate by contributing comments and/or questions to the work of others.
