“Tales for Christmas” Christmas Time provides a breath of fresh air during troubled times. Our three stories present themes of hope and charity, faith in mankind, love and reconciliation, and a belief that hardships can be suffered and surmounted.

“The Shopping Cart” Playwright: Joseph P. McDonald Director: James Coakley An aging homeless lady asleep on a Central Park bench is approached by a young TV reporter who offers the woman a chance to tell her story. It’s a perfect Christmas story, but does the lady want it to happen?

“The Ornament” Playwright and Director: Joseph P. McDonald It is Christmas Eve and Joanne prepares to spend it alone as she has done the past eleven years since her husband left her. On this night he returns, sending Joanne into anger and shock. But then, with a small gift, there is reconciliation.

“A Day in the Life” Playwright and Director: Ray Ring When six holiday ornaments are set up on the day before Thanksgiving, they become alive and interact with each other. When a critical event occurs, we discover that a sacrifice is required from the Nativity scene members.
