Section 13.4 Quiz: “Physical Properties of Solutions” You can use your notes, your book, and a lab partner of your choice to complete the quiz… When you’re done with quiz, turn it in and pick up the lab: “Making a Solubility Curve for KNO 3 ”.
6
Lab: “Making a Solubility Curve for KNO 3 ” A solubility curve can be generated if you know how much solute can be dissolved in a solvent at a certain temperature. In this lab, you will study the solubility of KNO 3 with water and construct a solubility curve based on the saturation points of 4 different amounts of solute.
7
Lab: “Making a Solubility Curve for KNO 3 ” Materials List There isn’t a specific materials list spelled out for you in the handout. You will need to read through the procedure to generate your own list of materials.
8
Lab: “Making a Solubility Curve for KNO 3 ” Procedure This lab is pretty straight-foward and there are NO changes to the procedure. We will conduct the lab as described in the handout.
9
Lab: “Making a Solubility Curve for KNO 3 ” Write-Up Title Purpose Hypothesis Materials Procedure Reflection Statement Don’t forget to update your table of contents!
