Relighting Our Spiritual Passion Part I How does your garden grow?

Who Are We? 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God ; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Who Are We?  We are religiously unique…  We are hated by satan…  We are targets of satan’s work…  Sometimes we’re just, losers…  We need a ROCKY moment…

satan isn’t fooling us  Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.  2 Corinthians 2:11 in order that satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.  Sometimes we just forget to focus…

Performance evaluations Revelation 2: “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands. 2 I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. 3 You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. 4 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. 5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

How do we relight our spiritual passion? Maybe we just need to fan the flame… Don’t let satan” WHEW” it out…

It begins with reflection  Think about it in the context of a job evaluation…  2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you — unless, of course, you fail the test?

What would we look for I Corinthians 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

What would we look for 2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved ( other translations state “study to show thyself approved” ), a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

What would we look for Proverbs 15: The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil.

What would we look for 1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

What would we look for 1 Thessalonians 5:17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

What would we look for 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

So, how would your evaluation look? Hebrews 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Not to be too concerned  God wants us to succeed…  2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.  Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

What are you planting? Deadly NightshadeCorn

What are you planting? Colossians 3:2 Set your mind s on things above, not on earthly things. So, what are you thinking about today?
