3. KRA What is KRA??? The KRA is designed to determine entering student’s skills and abilities as described by end-of-pre-kindergarten standards; identify individual children’s needs and supports; assist teachers with data-driven instructional planning, intervention, and enrichment; inform decision-makers about professional development needs; inform prior-care stakeholders; and provide families with information about their children’s learning and development. The KRA is aligned to the essential domains of school readiness and is composed of three item types: selected response, performance task and an observational rubric.
