How do people adapt to difficult situations?

Wesley’s exploration of the garden helped him to appreciate nature’s gifts. What other ways that exploration can lead to adaptation? Think about how Wesley managed to customize his wardrobe with a lightweight robe woven from plant fibers. How else could people customize their clothing in order to adapt their location?
