4 Learning outcomes Introduce to operations management principles applied in international and foreign construction operations Student will: Know the key theoretical, applicable international marketing, selling and entry concepts and can prepare a market entry plan with a context of a case company and its targeted market (Part 1) Know the key theoretical, applicable risk management concepts as part of management of a foreign construction project (Part 2) Know the key theoretical, applicable quality management issues as part of management of a construction operations (Part 3) Know the key factors in management of building design as part of foreign project management and can prepare an analysis of contextual factors affecting building design solutions in targeted countries (Part 4) Know the key theoretical, applicable procurement practices as part of management of a construction operations (Part 5)

5 Main Content Instructed team work about market entry plan: Introduction session Two coaching sessions Presentation session Two interactive learning sessions with pre-readings: Risk management Quality management Two interactive practical learning sessions: US experiences with Integrated Project Delivery and target cost design Procurement in construction: Implications from company strategy and culture to procurement practices Attendance at learning sessions is mandatory due to their interactive nature
