2 In the Fall, 2003, Alpha Chi student officers accepted the challenge to establish a campus affiliate with Habitat for Humanity. Treasurer, Rachel Manley, said, “I would like to pursue that goal!” In so doing, she contacted the local Habitat for Humanity chapter and took action. Along the way, she gathered helpers who knew the challenge of meeting society’s needs. Missouri Rho chapter applied for and was awarded a chapter grant from Alpha Chi for 2003-2004! On Friday, November 21, 2003, Habitat for Humanity invited students to a Volunteer and Donor Appreciation Luncheon hosted at First & Calvary Presbyterian Church. They heard the needs first-hand and saw volunteers and donors appreciated and thanked for their efforts. They left the luncheon inspired and motivated to continue to build on a solid foundation…
