7  US Constitution & Code of Hammurabi  Purpose of each?  Based on equality?  Cruel or unusual punishments?  Could they be changed?  Written by who?

8  What can you conclude about Hammurabi’s Code of Laws? What did they accomplish?  Improved order, behavior and conduct.  Single uniform code of laws would help unify diverse groups within his empire.  Did try to protect the powerless (including women and slaves)
