As a result of farming, deforestation, and other development, the giant pandas have been driven out of the lowland areas where they once lived. In 2007 it was estimated that there are 239 pandas living in captivity inside China and another 27 outside the country. As of December 2014, 49 giant pandas live in captivity outside China, living in 18 zoos in 13 different countries. Wild population estimates vary; one estimate shows that there are about 1,590 giant pandas still living in the Chinese forests and mountain ranges.

IELTS style question Read the sample answer to broaden your vocabulary. Use this answer only as an example and make your own answer based on your own life, experiences, likes, and dislikes. Your answer should be around 60 seconds and you should avoid repeating the same information in a single answer. Take 15 seconds to prepare. How often do you use a computer? Pretty much every day (=almost every day). I have a computer at home, and I use it to chat with my friends on Instant Messenger. I read the news, and occasionally watch online movies. In addition, my father bought me a laptop last year, and I take it with me to school. I go to college and I stay there from Monday to Friday. It’s convenient to have a computer because I can look up whatever information I need for my classes, and it’s also a good way for me to keep in touch with my relatives and friends back home.
