2 Datum Conversion Issues Two existing schemes listed in IMO Ships Routeing on different datums -Dutch scheme on European Datum (ED50) -UK scheme on Ordnance Survey Great Britain Datum (OSGB36 ) Proposed submission on World Geodetic System 1984 (WGS84) Charts -Shifts required to convert ED50 to WGS84 -Shifts required to convert OSGB36 to WGS84 -Block shifts are not possible; individual geodetic conversions are required for each position
