Concepts Under Development (JFCOM Leads) Cooperative Security Engagement In partnership with EUCOM Focused on actions the JFC takes in convert with other elements of national and international power and NGO’s to mobilize and sustain cooperation across a region in order to create a favorable security environment to U.S. and partner interests. Joint Urban Operations How can a Joint Force Commander operate in an urban environment to defeat adversaries embedded and diffused within populated urban areas without causing catastrophic damage to the functioning of the society there. Provide comprehensive treatment of the urban system---not merely to attack the embedded adversary with destructive force, but to treat the entire urban system comprehensively, applying power to disable hostile elements and enable those elements that are essential to the system’s functioning. Maritime Domain Awareness In partnership with NORTHCOM Integrate global maritime intelligence and situational awareness to understand the global maritime facets that impact the security, safety, economy and environment of the United States. Military Support to Stabilization, Security, Transition and Reconstruction Operations (SSTRO) Focused on effectively combining efforts of U.S. and Coalition militaries with those of U.S. agencies and multinational partners to provide direct assistance to stabilize the situation and build self-sufficient multinational capability and capacity. Strategic Communication In partnership with STRATCOM & SOCOM How can a joint force commander non-kinetically influence the actions or behaviors of targeted audiences in an information rich environment? Design and conduct joint operations to a strategic communication process based on desired effects upon the behaviors of various audiences. Integrating Ops and Intel (JIOC-X) How do we improve the integration of intelligence organizations? Develop processes, tools, and organizational designs through establishment of theater JIOCS.
