Pure science- is an idea that doesn’t effect humanity immediately. Ex. Fast cars Applied science- something that immediately effects humanity. e x.medicines Inferences- these are logical explanations. Ex the car stopped because it ran out of gas Fair tests- is when you change one variable and keep the rest controlled. Ex. iv,you only change this variable.

Iv- independent variable, what you change Dv- dependant variable, what changes in the result of what you changed Cv-constant variable, never changes.

Bar graphs are graphs used when your not using any time in the experiment. Ex. Amount of wins this season Line graphs show data over time. Ex. amount of wins in a month

Qualitative – when your not using numbers. Ex. There are dogs running Quantitative-when you use numbers ex. there are 3 dogs running

Mean-the average. Ex1+2+3=_ divided by 3 Median-the middle ex.123=2 Mode- most appeared ex 1232= 2

A theory is a hypothesis tested many times with the same results A hypothesis is a if and then statement, and also an educated guess

A controlled group is a group that you keep the same and a experimental group is a group that you do change. Ex. Dog that eats regular dog food Ex. Dog that eats new improved dog food
