2. History CICU is registered as a non-profit making society. It was registered/established in the year 1968 under the indian trade union act- 1926 and also under registration of society act-i. The chamber is regional organization, autonomous and controlled by its members and is completely non-political in its outlook and functions. It is managed by the executive committee nominated by the president who is elected by the members.

3. Objectives The aims and objectives of the chamber are to promote and protect the general industrial and mercantile interests, to encourage friendly feeling and unanimity amongst members of business community on all subjects involving their common good. A band of dedicated industrialists which founded the chamber gave considerable thoughts, exhaustive consideration and had detailed deliberations prior to formulating.

4. International/Global Services Interaction with delegations from foreign countries on doing business. The chamber helps the members to promote the indian organisations by helping them to interact with the foreign delegates Delegations to foreign countries for export promotion. The chamber gives the details of the exhibitions outside india and helps them in going for the export promotion

CICU helps the organisations in finding them companies which match their work and help them in making joint ventures Trade data exchange. CICU helps the members in exchanging the trade data of countries so that they can focus on particular sectors

6. International/Global Services Issuing of certificate of origin in respect of exports. CICU main function is to provide certificate of origin to the export houses. It is at the request of the importer certificate of origin is issued by the chamber of commerce and industry on the behalf of the exporter. The charges of certificate of origin depends from organisation to organisation

7. International/Global Services Recommendation for grant of visa. CICU helps the members of an organization in getting the visa if needed when some export house has to visit abroad on delegation or any other export promotion then CICU helps in facilitating that activity by recommending them for the grant of visa.
