THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA Office of the Chief Information Officer Enterprise Information Technology Services Creating programs targeted at gaining funding opportunities NSF program “Broadening Participation” $14 Million for colleges and partnerships that recruit women, minorities, and people with disabilities 0.03% women freshmen expressed interest in CS, 2004 MIS and CIS graduates lacking “soft skills”, business skills IBM – Using the Virtual capabilities of the new architecture IBM has program money to support IBM new architecture education opportunities by leveraging Higher Ed
