The machine gun was the most effective weapon in world war 1. It had a range around 200 yards and could fire 4 bullets a second. This devastating machine was most effective in World War 1.

Artillery was very effective it would create big explosions and take out groups of men. The English and French bombarded the Germans for a week at the beginning of the battle of the Somme.

Aeroplanes were very scary for the pilot because they were easily shot down. Aeroplanes would go and spy on enemy locations.

Tanks were very unreliable because they were easily blown up, as they had petrol tanks at the back. They also got stuck in the mud and toppled over.

By 1914, England had 40 battleships compared to Germanys 22. The leader of the British navy ships was a man named Lord Beaty. The leader of the German navy was a man called Admeral Scheer. The biggest battle was at a place called Jutland.Admeral Scheer sneaked home, but declared victory for Germany because they lost less ships.
