FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA) Puts security in airports Tries to make air travel safe Gives pilots enough rest time This guy needs his rest – he can’t fly five times in a row.

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Makes sure food is safe for consumers Sets rules for people who want to sell new drugs, business must prove they are safe

Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Makes sure businesses aren’t scamming or annoying their customers Makes sure business competition is fair

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Helps protect people from hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, etc. Cleans up after natural disasters
