3. WHAT IS NG9-1-1? Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) is the transition from our current 9-1-1 system to a digital 9-1-1 system. Required to provide access to 9-1-1 through emerging communication technology such as video, instant messaging, social media, etc. Similar to the Internet but different in that it’s private, secure and intended exclusively for emergency communications.

Ongoing conversations with National Information Solution Cooperative (NISC) Discussions with Dakota Carrier Network (DCN) about consolidating equipment and other methods of reducing costs
