How do humans interact with this environment: Humans earn their money through planting rice. The people are very poor and make $1,697 American dollars every year. 77% of their income is spent on food. Logging has ruined the tropical forests. Bangkok has 9 million people living there, and is now filled with traffic, sewage, pollution, and prostitution. The TV is an important part of family life. The literacy rate is very high; for females it is 90% and 96% for males.
