7.  מערך הלווינים המלא כולל 30 לווינים- 27 פעילים ו-3 רזרבה פעילה  הלווינים בגובה 23,222 ק"מ מעל כדור הארץ  הלווינים בנטייה של 56 מעלות לקו המשווה  יש כיסוי טוב עד לקו רוחב 75 מעלות  שתי תחנות בקרה על הלווינים (GCC)  קיימת יכולת (SAR) Search and Rescue המבוססת על מערכתCospar –Sarasat

8.  שוגרו לווינים ניסיוניים GIOVE-1 ו GIOVE-2 ב-2005 ו- 2008 (GIOVE = Galileo in Orbit Validation Experiment)  המטרה שמירת התדרים, בדיקת טכנולוגיות קריטיות וכן למדוד את עוצמות הקרינה במסלולים אלה  21 באוקטובר 2011 שיגור 2 לווינים  12 באוקטובר 2012 שיגור 2 לווינים נוספים

9.  22 באוגוסט 2014 שוגרו שני לווינים שלא הגיעו למסלולם המעגלי בגובה 23,222 ק"מ  הגיעו למסלול אליפטי 25,900 אפוגיאה ו- 13,713 פריגאה כשהדלק בלווין אינו מספיק כדי לעגל את המסלול
