4 Book suggests at least 20% of earth’s land be protected to ensure reservation of biodiversity In order to do so, funding is needed by the government, private organizations, etc. People want this reserved land for industrial purposes Trees to make paper products Land for agriculture Land to build cities

5 Buffer Zones An inner core of area protected by a reserved surrounding it These are established protected areas between isolated reserves Help support more species and allowing migration Centers for evolution Habitat Corridors

6 Insure biodiversity Preserve nature for future generations Conserving natural resources/endangered species
