Personalities of the characters Macbeth Helpless (pp.31, lines 15-17) ‘ Macbeth …he had no friends left, and no one wanted to help him. He began to wish to dead.’ Don’t trust others (pp.31, lines 25-29) ‘ You are a liar and a slave!’ cried the King …‘If you are lying, I will hang you from the nearest tree. But if your story is true, I do not care if you hang me instead.’
