Adam and Eve experienced God’s enforcement of His command. Gen 3:17 Gen 3:17 And to Adam he said, "Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, 'You shall not eat of it,' cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; Gen 3:18 Gen 3:18 thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field. Gen 3:19 Gen 3:19 By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return."

I Pet 2:13Then be in obedience to every ordinance of men, because of the Lord, whether to a king as supreme, I Pe 2:14 or to governors as sent by Him for vengeance on evildoers, but for praise on well-doers. I Pe 2:16 as free, and not having freedom as cover of evil, but as servants of God. Ipe 2:17Honor all. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the King.” The Lord uses our Government as His tool for enforcement.

II Sam 2 :12-17,22-35, there was a major spiritual dilemma. Eli and his sons (Hophni and Phinehas) were killed in one day. Eli stood by and let his sons, disobey and dishonor, with no consequences, God. Where there is a lack of enforcement, there is the potential disaster. Where there is a lack of enforcement, there is the potential disaster.

God is sovereign and his rule has embedded in it the element of strict enforcement.
